CommonSenseMedia gets funded by Omidyar Network

Common Sense Media(CSM) yesterday announced that Omidyar Network will be investing $4.25 million in their organization over the span of next three years. CSM makes it easier for parents to make decisions regarding which media is suitable for viewing by their children. CSM provides reviews and rating for various media formats including Movies, TV shows, Music, Web sites, and Books. Besides giving the 1-5 start rating, CSM reviewers also give On, Off, and Pause rating to indicate appropriateness of the media according the age of the child. CSM does sound to be a great value addition and alternative plan when the regular movie reviews market has long been captured by IMDB.com.
