Skype Shake-up continues

As the shake-up continues well beyond the top level at Skype, frantic conversations have been going on at Skype offices with its employees looking for jobs elsewhere. According to informed sources, some of the development staff has been asked to leave for not being able to meet targets.

Last week, Alex Kazim, Skype’s President, was replaced by Henry Gomez, who till now was Skype’s Chief Marketing Office and Director of Country Operations.

This is interesting turn of events for Skype which at one point of time introduced free calling right before the Vonage IPO that caused lot of pains for Vonage and its investors. Last week Skype tired of paying pstn termination charges for it users announced Unlimited Calling plan available for a flat rate of $29.95 per year.
