Widgetbox’s widgets get smarter

Widgetbox today launched a new release of their platform that among other things makes widget sharing easier. The “Get It Now” button at the bottom of the widget now gets you the embed code almost all the platform right there instead of taking you to the Widgetbox site. This is in tune with what most of the other widget syndication platforms and HomePage Services are providing that includes Yourminis, Clearspring, SpringWidgets, and FeedBurner.

Also with the new release Widgetbox has moved over to single click install of widget to major Homepage services including Google, Netvibes, and Pageflakes. Widgetbox is now among the leading widget providers offering compatibility with the above said platforms+web+email+typepad+MySpace platforms.

Over the weekend I got time to create a new page of StartupSquad.com’s widgets. You can check-it-out by clicking here and grab the widget from/for one your favorite platforms.

Rest of the homepage services – Netvibes, Pageflakes, Protopage, and Webwag are missing out on the important functionality that developers very well need. […]
